Oslo International Theatre (Oslo Internasjonale Teater / OIT) was an Imploding Fictions’ project that ran from 2009 – 2018. OIT presented rehearsed readings of contemporary international drama not seen in Norway previously, and occasionally ran related workshops. Our performances were open to the public, but we also targeted the theatre industry especially, to promote the plays to Norwegian theatres and theatre companies.

OIT was launched in 2009 and started as a collaboration between Imploding Fictions and Teatersirkus. The last couple of years OIT was run by Imploding Fictions.

Funders included Arts Council Norway, the EU Culture Program, Stiftelsen Fritt Ord, Det Norske Teatret, Dramatikkens hus, The City of Oslo, Fund for Performing Artists (FFUK), Writer’s Guild of Norway, The Dutch Embassy, Nordisk Kulturfond, Pro Helvetia, Goethe-Institut Oslo, the Danish Arts Council and Bydel Sagene.
